Beverly Donaldson, a registered nurse, approached her father, Jerry McClain, who was a developer and general contractor with an idea to develop a senior assisted living facility in 1986. At that time many independent apartments for seniors and nursing homes were available, but a setting in which seniors could combine the benefits of both assistance and independence remained uncharted.

Seniors feel at home in a warm, caring atmosphere and feel safe in comfortable, quality surroundings. Our community is independently owned and operated and residents and families are encouraged to communicate directly with the decision makers every day.
Residents choose their own day-to-day activities from many options, spending time as they please, maintaining independence and dignity. They interact with one another through planned activities, quiet conversation or during meals. Strong relationships are formed with one another, as well as with our caring staff.
